Lemonade, I honestly don’t even know where to start because when I look back at where I started and where I am now, I’m like, “Ah ah, na me so?” ![]()
I joined the Digital Witch IT Support course in the August/September 2023 batch, and honestly, I joined at a very difficult point in my life.
I had my second baby around April, so by the time I joined, she was barely four months old. I was broke, frustrated, and honestly getting depressed.
Then I saw the course outline and thought, “What’s the worst that can happen? Na 18k.” ![]()
So I paid.
Omo, I was serious!
I would be breastfeeding my baby while listening to class- d baby worry me no be small. My assignments were always up to date. I joined the after-class sessions. I was doing everything.
My husband and sister would come back from work and see me with baby, laptop, kitchen, everything.
They would say, “T, take it easy o!”
Take it easy ke? Shebi na money una dey go find? Me nko? ![]()
It was hectic, but I knew I needed to do something for myself.
After the class ended, I opened my Upwork account around November and started applying. First as a VA. Nothing.
I applied. Views. No offer.
I tried sales. I got my first offer in February 2024, I also shared with the community and many others got in too. It lasted only a few weeks, but I got paid and, more importantly, I thought:
“Okay. Something dey here.” I kept going.
Eventually, I moved into customer support because I saw some of my friends getting stable customer service jobs and earning really good money. chai
That became my new direction.
And then in February 2025, I got my first long-term customer support manager role. The pay started at $200/month.
It wasn’t huge, but I didn’t care, I was extremely happy. I was managing the entire customer service operation and handling other admin tasks, and over time, the client increased my pay by more than 100%.
We are still working together today.
That role changed something for me because I finally knew, “Okay, I can actually build something here.”
Then I got another long-term role with a Dutch company.
Everything was in Dutch. CRM, systems, customer inquiries, everything. ![]()
So I was working with DeepL, Google Translate and ChatGPT like my life depended on it.
I helped take their Trustpilot score from 4.6 to 4.8 territory and even received bonuses in Euros along the way.
Unfortunately, they later introduced phone support and needed someone who spoke Dutch, so that role ended.
It hurt, but I had gained the experience.
Then came 2026.
I decided to boost my Upwork profile and OMO!
Invites started coming.
Offers started coming.
At one point, I had five jobs/contracts going at the same time.
(U Sabi wen work don choke, u go begin beg God say abeg I no wan anyone again for now oo) But along the line, one full time job was gone(clients Shopify account got blocked) and there is one client who comes back when there’s a heavy backlog. Dat one na off and on client sha
I eventually got another full-time role with a US company few months later, which was something I had been praying for.
Today, I have three ongoing contracts, including two US companies and the long-term client I started with in February 2025.
And the biggest win?
I have crossed $10,000 on Upwork.
From ₦18,000.
That still blows my mind.
I’m currently Top Rated and working toward Top Rated Plus, and my target for this year is $20,000. We’re still pushing small small.
Then there’s the CSM Transition program.
I registered because I really want to transition into Customer Success Management, but the timing was honestly terrible.
The moment the program started, work became crazy.( E be like my village people d see me o
)
I had so many clients and so much work that I could put on the live class, but my mind was somewhere else because I was busy working.
So I know I didn’t get everything I should have gotten from the program.
But I’m coming back for it.
I will retake that CSM class because I genuinely want to participate in all case studies and make that transition.
And Lemonade, thank you. Seriously.
I don’t even remember exactly how I found Digital Witch, but I remember reading your profile and the comments and thinking, “Maybe I should try this.”
I’m so glad I did.
Since then, I’ve referred so many people to Digital Witch. Some are serious, some are not.
But the serious ones are seeing results too.
One person I referred has already gotten an Upwork contract with a US-based client, and she has another one lined up.
I’ve met beautiful ladies who have become real friends and they are earning so so well, in fact one is making over 8m in Naira monthly. She’s my Greatest motivator
So, Lemonade, keep doing what you’re doing. You may not realize how much impact this work is having.
I started with 18k, a four-month-old baby, a laptop and plenty uncertainty.
Today, I have crossed $10,000 on Upwork, I have long-term clients, international experience, I’m Top Rated, and I’m still growing.
My target is $20,000 this year. Let’s see how far we can go. ![]()
And yes, I’m coming back for that CSM class.
Children don grow finish.I know d born again abeg.
This time, I’m coming back in full force.
Thank you, Lemonade. ![]()
